His hits Pedro Navaja and Plastico are loved by generations of Latin Americans worldwide, and we have seen him in the spotlight as a Grammy winner, actor, lawyer and Panama Presidential Candidate.
With unprecedented access, Yo No Me Llamo Rubén Blades reveals a soft-spoken rebel, and a living legend struggling to come to terms with his legacy.

Director: Abner Benaim
Born and raised in Panama City, Benaim moved to Israel and began his filmmaking studies at Camera Obscura, Tel Aviv in 1999 and has worked on various Israeli, Panamanian and US film productions. Benaim is currently based in Panama City where he founded Apertura Films in 2004.
