Our fifth short film competition features seven works dealing with two of the most pressing issues of the 21st century - migration and climate change - through short animations, documentaries and fiction.

Four films explore the environmental, social and economic impacts of climate change, including an animation describing how the Kukama God created the Amazon River.

Three films depict the social conditions that drive people to seek a better life outside their home country; the xenophobia faced by Venezuelans in Colombia and difficulties in Argentina; and Platicas, a finalist in the San Diego Latin Film Festival ‘Migrant Voices Today’ Film Challenge (Voces de los Migrantes) that gives voice to those arrived at the US/Mexico border.
